OTTAWA – While negotiations continue, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) began strikes on Friday in the main cities of Manitoba: Winnipeg (except the processing plant), Brandon, Portage la Prairie, The Pas, Dauphin, Flin Flon and Thompson. Strikes also started Friday in Edmonton, Alta. and in Port Hope, Orangeville and Markham, Ont. Strikes also continue in Moncton and Saint John, N.B., and in one letter carrier depot in downtown Toronto.
